Our client progressed from creative director to general manager within a Turkish apparel business, overseeing product development, supplier relationships, brand direction, and operational teams. The company’s US expansion called for him to lead an affiliated enterprise in Brooklyn, drawing on the existing brand and supplier network. The US company had secured a dedicated private office, received initial capitalization from the foreign business, and developed a market-entry and staffing plan.
Our firm organized the petition around the relationship between the companies, his qualifying managerial employment abroad, and the proposed US management structure. A particular focus was documenting continuity as the Turkish business transitioned from a sole proprietorship to a limited liability company. Employment, payroll, corporate, and commercial records supported that history. We also presented office documentation, organizational plans, and arrangements for delegating routine operations to service providers and future employees.
For this new-office case, the staffing and delegation plan helped explain how the US operation would develop to support a primarily managerial role. It connected the proposed expansion with our client’s responsibility for directing business functions and supervising their execution. USCIS approved the I-129 petition for L-1A classification, supporting the planned transfer of an experienced manager to establish the brand’s US presence.
