Our client is a pediatrician and clinician-scientist whose research focuses on immune responses to engineered kidney tissue, transplant rejection, and regenerative medicine. Our firm previously secured approval of his EB-2 National Interest Waiver I-140 petition based on his work involving kidney organoids and transplantation immunology.
Following the EB-2 NIW approval, he proceeded with the adjustment of status stage of the permanent residence process. Our firm prepared and submitted his Form I-765 application under the (c)(9) category while his Form I-485 remained pending.
USCIS approved the Form I-765 application and granted employment authorization, allowing our client to continue his professional and research activities in the United States while his EB-2 NIW-based permanent residence process moved forward.
